QA Inspector
Job Description
Our client is a manufacturer of RF Technology products. They are looking for a QA inspector to join their team.
Position: QA Inspector
Dayshift: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
Permanent after 3 months of probation
Location: Etobicoke, ON (Brown Line/Horner ave)
Payrate: To start is $20.00 per hour
Duties:
- Read and interpret complex drawings, specifications and standards
- Ability to use metrology tools and equipment's like Height Gauges, CMM, etc
- Mechanical inspection of various first piece, in-process and final inspections of housings, sub-assemblies, and finished goods inspections in a timely manner
- Perform in-process verification, receiving and final inspection in accordance with Machine Shop, and Quality Assurance policies and procedures
- Issue non-conforming reports (NCRs) and first article inspections (FAI Reports) as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Skills/Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years minimum experience in manufacturing
- Ability to use CMM is preferred
- Able to work from blueprints, specifications, written, and/or verbal instructions
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- An understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Familiar with ISO 9001 procedures
- Competence with standard PC functionality and software
- Effective verbal and written communication skill
- Knowledge of gauges and measuring equipment and ability to do the job with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., if needed
